Reminder: "Punch's Cousin" Will Return on Monday

Monday, October 11, will bring Chapter 67 of Punch’s Cousin. Now that we know that Mr. Punch did not, in fact, murder Arthur, what does that mean for our friends? Arthur and Barbara are not exactly the most stable couple in the world to begin with, but when you add the influence of The Elegant Ogress to the mix, the result couldn’t possibly be good. With Robert still recuperating from his pneumonia at The Rittenhouse Mansion, that leaves Julian (along with Mr. Punch) in a position to have to deal with a lot of unpleasant situations on his (their) own. How will Punch/Julian react to being in the same house with his former nanny? Will their long-hidden secret finally be revealed. Cecil and Adrienne want to help. However, their prying into the affairs of the strange Cage family might prove to be more dangerous than they thought as they try to figure out if Holt Cage is actually the child that Barbara sold. Meanwhile, Naasir will assist in trying to find the missing “Fallbridge Blue” and along the way will reunite with his brother, Cephas. This is a family reunion that has some shocking results.

Julian has some good people on his side, but will the contributions of Cecil, Adrienne, Marjani and Naasir be enough to battle the hidden dangers that surround him? As Mr. Punch becomes increasingly human, will Julian’s own personality be further suppressed? Meanwhile, as Robert’s life hangs by a thread, a surprising visitor may mean the difference between his life and death. And, don’t think that Iolanthe Evangeline doesn’t have her hand in all of it.

My continued thanks to all of you who have been reading Punch’s Cousin and who have sent such kind messages. I promise another exciting week is ahead. As Mr. Punch would say, “That’s the way to do it.”
