Mr. Punch of Belgrave Square will Continue on Monday

Mr. Punch of Belgrave Square continues this week with Chapter 112 and Mr. Punch and Robert have just launched the Servants' Ball.  Everyone who was invited seems to be there.

Gamilla and Gerard are together despite their argument about Ellen and even after Gamilla was found intoxicated.  What was that all about?  Mrs. North was very quick to step in and give Gamilla an excuse.  But, let's not forget that Gamilla originally said that it was Gerard who had given her the whiskey.

Mrs. North and Gamilla  bonded that day.  Gamilla confessed that it was Finlay who had forced the whiskey upon her.  After overhearing Finlay and Ellen saying terrible things about the Duke, Gamilla was on her way to find Gerard when Finlay got to her.  Gamilla informed Mrs. North that Finlay insisted that she find a way to get the Duke and the Doctor to dismiss Gerard and make him go away.  Finlay said that if she didn't, he'd kill Gerard and that if she said a word to anyone, he'd harm the baby.

Mrs. North tried to comfort Gamilla, telling her not to worry about it and that, after the ball, she'd go to the masters.  She wondered what Finlay and Ellen had to do with one another, but assured Gamilla that she'd be safe.  Mrs. North, on her way to take a nap, ran into Finlay and questioned him about a number of things.  On her own, Mrs. North figured out the relationship between Ellen and Finlay as well as the fact that Ellen was the illegitimate child of the Duchess of Fallbridge.  Wondering how she can tell the Duke, Mrs. North retires to her room.

Later, as the household prepared for the ball, Gamilla went to awaken Mrs. North, only to see the woman apparently leaving her room.  Gamilla called out to the housekeeper, but she didn't turn around and Gamilla assumed that because of her slight deafness, she didn't hear her name called.

But, by the evening of the ball, all of that trouble seemed so far away.  Gamilla found herself excited to be wearing a beautiful costume and to be near Gerard.  The evening was magical and all of their cares appeared to melt as the Duke and Dr. Halifax welcomed everyone to the Grange and toasted Sir Colin Molliner's memory.

Sadly, none of them know that danger lurks around every corner.  With Ellen and Finlay both betraying each other with the Baron Lensdown and the fact that the Baron's got his own murderous secrets, there's already plenty of confusion waiting for our heros.  But, there's also a lot of chaos from London which has yet to be revealed, and that cat is getting out of the bag at the ball.  Furthermore, there are some unexpected shocks awaiting you with each chapter this week.

If you've missed a chapter, you can always catch up in the Chapter Archive with a link to each chapter as well as a tidy summary.  I can't wait to share this week's story line with you. Thanks for reading!
